IE-MultiWay 802.1ag OAM CFM

IMC Networks released a free software upgrade for the popular IE-MultiWay product that includes 802.3ah OAM and 802.1ag OAM CFM support.

The IE-MultiWay is an SNMP managed Gigabit Ethernet multi-function network device that performs several tasks to meet customer CPE/fiber operations. The product is designed with a simple upgrade path that is available through the company’s free software download site.

The IE-MultiWay is a MEF Compliant, Managed 4 port networking device that supports four distinct DIP Switch selectable configurations;

Redundant 1+1 Protection (Revertive or Non-Revertive) Media Converter
Fiber Repeater Fiber Drops/Daisy Chain Extensions
Fiber Repeater Drops/Daisy Change Extensions Using Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
Dual Channel Media Converter

In addition to the IEEE 802.3ah OAM and 802.1ag CFM enhancements the IE-MultiWay includes the following;

Remote Management via SNMP
Remote Management via Telnet
Host-Remote IP-less communications
VLAN Tagging (802.1Q and 802.1ad)
User definable EtherType 88A8 Tagging
DDMI on the fiber SFP
Expanded Command Line Interface (CLI)
Forced Speed/Duplex on the TX ports
