CWDM Multiplexers

PulseOptics Course Wave Division Multiplexers (CWDM) are available in both high and low band options and with industry leading ultra low IL losses.

4, 8 and 16 CWDM channel models provide maximum design flexibility with the 1U 19" rack mount option providing optional optical cable support and up to 32 CWDM channels.

CWDM Modules

PulseOptics Course Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) Mux and Demux modules provide reliable and extensible solutions for fiber exhaust and multi-service applications including data center and inter and intra office connectivity.

Available with 4,8 and 16 CWDM channels the modules offer industry leading ultra-low IL losses and maximum design flexibility with optional extension and monitoring ports. The 1U low profile module and rack mount kit maximizes rack space with the optional cable support tray providing Telco grade cable management

Rack Mounting

PulseOptics CWDM multiplexer modules are designed to be mounted into a 19” Rack Mount bracket (MUXRACK-2M-B). The Rack mount bracket features dual position rack mount ears and an optional, removable cable support tray.


Pass Band (Ext) CWDM Extension

 

The use of extension ports on multiplexers can provide connectivity between systems on 1310nm or 1550nm wideband wavelengths. Alternatively the extension port can be used to add up to 8 CWDM channels by connecting an additional pair of CWDM multiplexers.

1310 Ext Ports

The C-X470M and C-X470E 4 and 8 models support a 1310nm extension (1310 Ext) port that can be used to cascade multiplexers or provide 1310nm legacy wideband signal transmission.

1550 Ext Ports

The C-X290M and C-X290E 4 and 8 models support a 1550nm extension (1550 Ext) port that can be used to cascade multiplexers or provide 1550nm legacy wideband signal transmission.


Legacy Optical Signal Extension

1550nm and 1310nm Ext ports can be used to carry any wideband optical 1310/1550nm optical traffic from legacy systems and hosts such as ESCON/FICON.
