Avigilon self-learning video analytics embedded in Avigilon security cameras works in conjunction with the Avigilon Control Center to enable analytics events and alarms to be managed, viewed and searched through the use of advanced video analytics features.

Avigilon Self-Learning Video Analytics

Avigilon advanced pattern detection based video analytics technology for security is able to accurately recognize the movements of people and vehicles while ignoring motion not relevant to a high security scene.

Embedded into security cameras, the system’s ability to constantly learn reduces false positives and helps ensure security alerts are meaningful, improving surveillance efficiency.

Appearance Search Technology

Avigilon Appearance Search technology enables users to quickly locate a specific person or vehicle of interest across an entire site.

It can dramatically improve security incident response time and enhance forensic investigations by allowing operators to build robust video evidence and create a powerful narrative of security events.

The new Avigilon Appearance Search technology will allow users to initiate a search for a person by selecting certain specific physical descriptions, including hair and clothing colour, gender, and age. This feature is included in ACC 6.10

Teach-by-example video analytics technology

Avigilon's teach-by-example video analytics technology enables users to provide feedback about the accuracy of alarm events generated by Avigilon security surveillance camera devices.

Rather than decreasing video analytics sensitivity to reduce false alarms, the feedback trains from surveillance camera devices, are used to determine which alarms are real and which are false to further improve a low false-positive alarm rate.

Over time, the surveillance system learns the scene and is able to prioritize important events based on user feedback.

Avigilon Unusual Motion Detection (UMD) technology is an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology that brings a new level of automation to surveillance, by revealing events that may have otherwise been missed.

Without any predefined rules or setup, UMD technology is able to continuously learn what typical activity in a scene looks like, and then detect and flag unusual motion.

UMD technology is embedded on H4 Box, H4 Bullet and H4 Dome cameras, as well as H4 SL and H4 Mini Dome camera lines.

Avigilon Control Center - Video Management Software

Avigilon Control Center (ACC) is Avigilon's video analytics management software that optimizes the way security professionals manage and interact with high-definition security surveillance videos.

ACC-6 incorporates advanced search function in all surveillance cameras called Avigilon Appearance Search that enables the video analytics software to provide faster responses and reduce investigation time.

ACC-6 can be integrated with Avigilon's Access Control Management (ACM) system for full featured security cameras and video analytics and surveillance solutions.

Avigilon Video Analytics can be triggered on various situations such as;

  • A selected number of objects are present in the region of interest
  • The object stays in the region of interest for an extended amount of time
  • No objects are present in the region of interest
  • An object moves in the prohibited direction of travel
  • Specific objects are present in the region of interest
  • Object crosses a configured unidirectional or bidirectional beam over the camera’s field of view within a selected time period
